Good morning friends!! I woke up to the news, that I was flying solo for this weeks #coffeetalk! Now we all knew Hilary was going on vacation and didn’t want to spend her morning with us! But, I thought I had a guest hostess all lined up! Renee with Faux Your Eyes Only was going to be joining me, but somehow we got our wires crossed and she stayed in bed! She felt SO bad and me teasing her about it DID NOT make her feel any better!
But as I told her, I’m only going to tease you if I like you and I would NEVER get mad at someone over something like that! ESPECIALLY when they say they are sorry. I mean those little words, I’m sorry, can mean so much. I had actually just been talking about that same thing with my husband this week! I do not understand why people don’t just say I’m sorry when they make a mistake. I mean seriously, we all make mistakes. It’s life, but at least say your sorry!
Renee was SO sorry that I had to calm her down! In her defense she’s been really sick and when you think I work 24/7, she really works 24/7! Her daughter helps her a bit with social media, but she does all of her packing and shipping by herself! I just can’t imagine because Renee probably ships 3x as much stuff as I do!! I mean the amount she ships is INSANE!
And that folks is why I wanted to talk to her for #coffeetalk! She has spoken to my Staging Group and is just a go getter! But as I told her, God is telling her to slow down and take a break! At least hire some help Renee!
If I had known I was on my own I would have had some thoughts ready, but since it was a little more spur of the moment I ended up talking about my week. I mean it’s a crazy busy week!!

So, Monday I left the house at 5:30am and went junking. Got back home about 1 – 1:30pm and got the truck unpacked in time to do a Show & Tell to my First Dibs group! You can learn more about that group HERE.
Basically as I unpacked boxes I shared what I picked. My stomach was growling the ENTIRE time! Note to self, eat lunch first!
After that, which lasted a couple hours, I hurried inside to eat and clean-up before heading to a school board meeting. Want to know why I’m only the school board and if I’ll be running for another term? Watch the video!
Tuesday I cleaned and priced in preparation for my Lunch Break Live Sale. After that it was invoicing and putting things that didn’t sell into stories. Wednesday is the day to share a new lesson in my Staging Your Antique Shop group. This week I was doing audits for my members and that video needed to be made, edited and uploaded. I am FINALLY learning how to upload video a little quicker. If I do it from my phone it can take half of the day! So now, I share it to my computer and let my computer do the uploading! It doesn’t take nearly as long that way! I also worked on my #upcyclesquad project that was due Thursday! Due…what can I say, it is the teacher in me!
So, Wednesday I finished getting my lesson uploaded and got my #upcycle project finished and made a reel. I also worked on pricing all of the items my First Dibs people claimed, messaging, invoicing, cleaning, sorting. Saturday I have a big sale on Instagram for #virtualfleamarketSaturday and I always try to share items for the first time for this event. So more cleaning and pricing and staging in preparation for Saturday’s event.
Thursday things get packed and invoiced for shipping and while that was happening I was prepping all of the slides/photos for #virtualfleamarketsaturday. Still cleaning, pricing, staging, invoicing, replying to messages and comments. And don’t forget #coffeetalk and sharing with my #upcyclesquad! I will do a blog post on that project next! This whole week I needed to share in stories my teammates on the #upcyclesquad AND the other vendors for Saturday’s event!
Friday I tried to get little things done, like bookwork, blogging, paying bills, dealing with taxes and writing this! My goal for 2022 was to get a new YouTube video up and a blog post up each week(not counting #coffeetalk) but, that is not going to be happening this week! At least I don’t think so!!
Saturday I want to head to the Flea Market at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. I have not been in years and I think I’ve only been once! While I’m there I will of course hit up my Favorite Flea Market Shops in Des Moines. Grab that list HERE.
Sunday, Sunday I think I’ll plant my butt on the couch and binge watch something all day! At least until 6 when I’ll need to make myself presentable for my Sunday LIVE Sale on Facebook!
And no, I didn’t workout this week. Yes, I worked from 5 am to 6 pm most days this week. No, I rarely showered or combed my hair. Yes, I still showed my face in stories. Just keeping it real friends!
