Good morning friends! This morning on #coffeetalk with Brooke & Hilary we chatted about food, drinking and organization! Hilary has been on an amazing weight loss journey and was just a couple pounds short of her 2021 goal! We discuss workout schedules and cooking dinner and trying to lose or maintain weight!
I’ve mentioned it in a few episodes (pst! We have been doing this awhile, but 2022 started sharing it on the blog) that the holidays are the time of year that I drink alcohol even though I’m typically not much of a drinker! I really struggle around the holiday’s with grief and loss and it just ends up being comforting for me. When I say I drink, we are talking about a couple drinks a week, so don’t worry that I’m going to get carried away! I’m too body conscious to become a drinker. I do not want to drink my calories, LOL.
This winter I have fallen in love with two NEW to me drinks! First, is the Rebel Pumpkin Spice flavor. Matt picked these up to try and we both fell in love. We also tried the holiday pack they offer and it was good too, but our local Hy-Vee carried the Pumpkin Spice. Once that ran out, Matt decided I must like hard coffee, so we tried this one by Pabst Blue Ribbon. Again, delicious! It’s like drinking a milkshake!
You might be thinking, Brooke, the holiday’s are over, so why are you still drinking! That answer would be that our son Karson has a heavenly birthday February 1 and this year, this month has been extra hard on me. Karson would have been 16. I’ve had friends who have also lost kids and would talk about Kindergarten or the start of the new school year being hard, but those came and went rather uneventful for me. 16, 16 is hitting me hard. So if you see me randomly crying in real life, it has absolutely nothing to do with what is going on around me, yet everything to do that is going on inside me.
If you are curious what happened, I did share about it here.
As I shift my focus over to my blog for 2022, I was trying to pick Hilary’s brain and see how she stayed organized. She had some good tips, but is also always working to improve her organization as well! I feel I have mastered organization in my selling of antiques and posting on social media, but sitting at the computer all day with a bunch of open tabs is a little bit different!
As I work on getting a system established, I will be sure to come back and share it with you!
If you work from home, I’m curious as to what your tips for organization are! Let me know in the comments.
Have a great week my friends!
