Free on FB Marketplace + Saturday Estate Sales

My morning started with coffee and scrolling Facebook Marketplace. A cabinet I had saved popped up in my feed—and it was marked free! Come spend the day with me as I pick up a free cabinet from Facebook Marketplace and shop a few Saturday estate sales!

When I saw the cabinet listed as free, I immediately messaged the owner to confirm. I couldn’t believe it was actually free! She responded quickly and explained they were moving, and the realtor had said it needed to be out that day.

I had originally planned to spend the day hitting a couple of estate sales, but I quickly rearranged my schedule to go pick up the cabinet. It was heavy, and I had to bring my own muscle. My husband and daughter weren’t available to help, and my son was still asleep. I knew he had a full day of mowing lawns ahead of him and wouldn’t be thrilled to help me move furniture. So, I planned for a 10 a.m. pickup—thinking that would let him sleep in a little and still have time to mow afterward.

Wrong! He got up shortly after I’d arranged everything and told me he had to be somewhere at 9 a.m. to pull weeds. Luckily, we shuffled things around and he was only delayed about 30 minutes—and Momma got a free cabinet!

The house was beautiful, and because I’m on Zillow almost as much as I’m on Marketplace, I saw the listing pop up. You can check out the house HERE.

Estate Sale Shopping

Pat Jones Tag Sales was having a sale in a beautiful neighborhood by the Salisbury House. Checkout THIS POST to see Salisbury House. There wasn’t anything I really wanted at this sale, I just knew I wanted to see the house!

I ended up buying some electric hedge trimmers for $3 for my son. I guess you could call it payment for helping me load the cabinet earlier that morning. Watch the video below to see the house!

Sales by Nan was the next estate sale I was headed to. This sale was in Windsor Heights, another neighborhood that I knew had beautiful old homes. Again, there wasn’t anything in particular I was wanting at this sale, but I did want to see the house! I was also curious to see what prices were like on day 3 of the sale! Watch the video above to see!

Successful Saturday

After hitting up the estate sales, I did stop at one garage sale and one thrift store before the day was over! All in all it was a lovely day! Especially because it started so well with the free FB Marketplace cabinet!! You can find all the treasures that I picked up on the website HERE.
