The Junk Parlor

I have customers come in to purchase old wooden canes, because they collect them. Some people buy them for costumes, but for most people it’s hard to know what to do with a cane. At Christmas time you can take that wooden cane and turn it into a primitive candy cane.

The shape of the cane is already in the shape of a candy cane and by wrapping it in burlap with red details, you can easily make it look like a candy cane.

Like with most of my projects I wanted to use what I had on hand. If I was starting from scratch with my supplies I would purchase narrower burlap ribbon than what I had on hand. I would get something like THIS to make a primitive candy cane. You could also leave off the red and make a shepard’s hook!
