Antique Metal Spring Loaded Carriage Bit

This spring loaded carriage bit is a really rare find. It was used to hold back really energetic horses while they were pulling a carriage or wagon. There isn’t a manufacture stamp on here. All parts are movable and in workable condition. This would be a neat collection piece for a carriage or horse bit collector. Measurements for this product laying down are, 10 1/2″ long x 3 1/4″ in diameter of the 2 biggest rings.
