Pair of Old Bibles
This listing is for two old bibles. The smaller one has a cover that is crumbling along the edges. The top cover is not attached. Stamped in the bottom right is Helen Preston. Written in pencil inside cover is “Father we thank thee for this food. Help us always to be good.” There have been a few pages that have been taped with scotch tape. The larger bible has a torn out page from another book that says The Parables of Jesus. Also pinned to the inside page is a paper that has Psalm 100 written on it in blue pen. It was also signed Ruby Dodge from her parents in 1905 is what is predominant, but underneath the numbers look like 1913. So I am really not sure of the date. One of the title pages has been taped at some point, but is also missing a lot of the page. That page also has Ruby’s name written in pencil on it. One of the little papers I left in the bible says Ten Commandments.
The larger bible is approximately 9″ x 6″ Both books stacked are 3 1/4″ tall.
