We eat A LOT of sliders for dinner! Why? Because they are easy!! There are a million varieties!! And they are good leftovers!
I’m sharing a little insight as to what I do differently, if I don’t follow the menu exactly!! Probably the most common theme is that I always use my precooked chicken!! I buy chicken in bulk. Cook it in the crockpot. Then, once it cools I place it in half gallon zip lock bags and shred it by hand. Watch this reel to see what I’m talking about!
Be sure to follow me on Pinterest, especially my Dinner Tonight board! I have made almost everything on that board!! If I don’t like it I delete it!!
Also, while I normally take pictures of my sliders and share them in my Instagram stories, some of these photos are just going to be from the person who made the recipe!! And yes I love the traditional ham and cheese sliders, but this list is hopefully exposing you to some new slider varieties!!
Cheese Burger Sliders
I love onions, so I probably add more onions than the recipe calls for!! I never add the oil or sesame seeds. And I use whatever cheese slices and/or shredded cheese I have on hand! Simple and SO good!
Big Mac Sloppy Joes
These are SO good but SO messy! I’ve tried making them with larger buns and I’ve also tried shaping them into patties to cut down on the mess! But no matter how difficult they are to eat by hand I will never stop making them! I never make them as a true Big Mac with 3 pieces of bread. I just make them like a normal sandwich.
Here’s A Tip
Honey Mustard Chicken BLT Sliders
Since my chicken is already cooked I do not use any oil in this recipe. I also use what I have on hand, so you can see above we had shredded lettuce instead of a head of lettuce like in the recipe. I also typically just use whatever cheese I have on hand!
Chicken Parmesan Sliders
I have even made these with gluten free chicken patties and my daughter assembled hers on gluten free bread. I typically buy whatever chicken tenderloin or patty is on sale. Each time it has been delicious!
Buffalo Chicken Slider
This recipe is a favorite of my youngest and I’ve made it weekly for him many times! The meat filler is also good with chips!!
Chicken Bacon Ranch Sloppy Joes
I just made this one last night!! I use the shredded chicken I already have on hand. After caramelizing the onions I add the chicken to the skillet to warm it up and then follow the recipe. I rarely add as much bacon as the recipe calls for and probably use half of the amount of cheddar cheese!! It calls for A LOT of cheese!!
Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes
I have a few of these pinned to my Dinner Tonight board, but this is the one I make. I love that I’m just using ground beef because I always have some in the freezer! I don’t typically use as much cheese as the recipe calls for.
Cowboy Sliders
This is recipe I made for the first time recently, but will definitely be making it again! I cooked my onions without oil. I also didn’t have any hamburger seasoning, so I just Googled what was in that and did a few shakes of each seasoning I had.
French Dip Sliders
These are delicious! The only thing I don’t like is that it makes a ton of au jus. And, surprisingly roast beef from the deli can be expensive!
BBQ Chicken Sliders
We typically use Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce because it’s gluten free. Again, I use my precooked chicken for this, so I don’t use oil. Typically I don’t have the cheese the recipe calls for so we use mozzarella or provolone slices.
Pinned But Untested
There are a couple slider recipes in my Dinner Tonight board that I haven’t tried yet. Obviously, I think they look good, so they will be on a future dinner menu!!
Chopped Italian Sliders
This is a new pin that I have yet to try. Find the recipe HERE.
Cajun Chicken Sloppy Joe
This is another recipe that I have pinned, but haven’t tried out yet!! Find the recipe HERE.
