I’m not really sure how I collected so many plastic eggs, but I guess that’s what happens when you can’t throw things away because you might use them some day! So a few years ago I came up with a way to use these eggs. I’m showing you how to decorate plastic Easter eggs to use for your home decor.
When I first decorated a batch of eggs I only used music sheets. And I quickly decided that I would do a bunch, but not all of the plastic eggs I had because I simply didn’t have the patience! I’m much smarter a few years later and would take all of my supplies and sit in front of the tv so that I could multitask and not get bored.
Since I only had a few eggs left from the first batch, I decided it was time to do it again. This time I had some floral tissue paper on hand that I decided to try. I had the tissue paper leftover from this project with a mannequin.
You could really use any paper you had laying around…napkins, book pages, coloring book pages, old patterns, newspapers, anything goes.
I used literally what I had laying around the house.
- Old glue that I should have watered down
- Plastic eggs I had on hand
- My kids watercolor brush
- Music Sheet and Tissue Paper – these floral patterns would be awesome to use
